Sleep is too important to trust to a paid review. Here's exactly how we evaluate the products we cover, and how we keep our recommendations honest.
We test everything ourselves
Every product we recommend is purchased at full retail price by our team — never sent to us free by the brand. We sleep on it for at least 30 nights before forming an opinion.
We collect real user feedback
We supplement our own testing with structured surveys of 100+ verified buyers. We report the full picture — including what didn't work for some people.
We read the research
We review peer-reviewed sleep studies from sources like the Sleep Foundation, the AASM, and published clinical trials. We cite sources where claims need backing.
We disclose affiliate relationships
Some links on this site are affiliate links — meaning we may earn a small commission if you buy through them. This never affects our editorial opinion. We have rejected products from brands we couldn't recommend.

We buy the product anonymously at full retail price. No PR samples, no media kits, no special treatment.

Sleep on it for 30+ nights
Our reviewers use the product nightly for a minimum of 30 nights — long enough to get past the novelty period.

Survey verified buyers
We collect structured feedback from at least 100 verified buyers, including detractors. We don't cherry-pick reviews.

Cross-reference research
We compare claims against peer-reviewed sleep research and consult with sleep specialists where relevant.

Publish — including the cons
Every review covers what works, what doesn't, and who shouldn't buy it. If we wouldn't recommend it to a family member, we don't recommend it to you.
Our promise
We will never recommend a product we haven't personally tested. We will always disclose when a link earns us a commission. And we will always tell you who a product isn't right for, not just who it is.
